good unit after replacing nuts and bolts

This unit is hard to find but this has allowed me to power an outhouse where the code didn't allow hardwiring. After pulling the plug out of the socket a second time, I replaced all the #4 screws with longer #6 screws. It has become much stronger and works well now. I hooked it up to a Taymac MX3200 One Gang Vertical cover. I originally installed it in May 2017 and other than the bolts it has held up well with occasional use and I'm half a mile out of the ocean on the windward coast of Oahu where nothing erodes. I am attaching eight pictures to my review showing the wiring installation steps: rear and front views of a socket without a plug; 1 weatherproof outlet with plug attached, 2 side views showing plug attachment with #6 screws, washers and locknuts; Front view of installed medium to heavy duty outlet and extension cord with weatherproof cover open and closed. I had to drill holes so the screws were tight enough to allow threading. I had to tighten the ends of the bolts, but by this point my patience was failing; Fumbling and fumbling with #4 and #6 nuts and bolts is irritating for 68 year old hands.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Working
