Sturdy, appears to be of good quality

Plug works as described. Used for guitar pedalboard. Supplied with two pre-drilled screw holes on the flange with two black screws. I added two more mounting holes and had to use four zinc screws. It probably had to be drowned, but there was no router or patience. Hardwired IEC cord from PSU, works great. A hole of about 1.75 inches was required. Cable connections seemed fine, didn't feel overly plasticky. No problems so far, I will buy again.

Superb quality and craftsmanship

Use this part to power a remote structure on my property when I need it. The item is very well made with strong wire sleeves. To be on the safe side, I installed it in an outdoor box. It grips the cable well and firmly, there are no connection issues at all. Mounting screws are included as a nice added bonus. , none of them could match for the price, and once installed I can say nine looked and felt just as solid. For future needs I know who to buy from. Thanks, people.

It was great while it lasted

I've had this product for almost a year, I really like how it fits my project. I bought a standard round plug to plug into this outlet. The fit was tight and looked good until the screws holding the connector/clamp loosened. I tightened the screws (not too tight as the screws are attached to the plastic) and all was fine until recently. The screws came out again and don't hold well. I'm frustrated that I have to waste my time taking my guitar apart to fix it. It would be much better if the…

Great product with one fixable bug.

This fork is well made with one major but recoverable flaw. Everything about this part is well preserved in my application, except for the two screws that hold the electrical parts of the connector to the plastic housing. The screws screw right into the plastic and tend to loosen after a few cable disconnects. This will cause the center plug on the cord to hang out of the hole, which can strain the wires inside and cause an electric shock and safety hazard. Loose bolts can be replaced with long

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • Clarity

I'm making a side table for a family member who wants me to install a built in lamp socket and USB ports to charge the phone. Finding such an outlet isn't a problem, but the idea of a cord sticking out of the table leg didn't appeal. The Journeyman-Pro 5278 inlet is a great solution. To be honest it hasn't been used yet, but I really like the idea that I only had to drill a 1-3/4" diameter hole in one of the thick legs to install it and that the wires go straight go in the back - that's a plus…

Easy to run electricity in my shed

I combined this with a 'used' all weather cover and deep weatherproof box to provide temporary power to my backyard storage area. The shed has wires for lights and outlets and when I need power I can just plug a heavy duty outdoor power strip into the GFIC on my patio. I used the Taymac MX3200 One Gang Vertical In Use Metal Weatherproof Receptacle Cover. I highly recommend all three products. Certainly makes it easier to charge and maintain my lawn care equipment!

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick

  • Unbelievable price

good unit after replacing nuts and bolts

This unit is hard to find but this has allowed me to power an outhouse where the code didn't allow hardwiring. After pulling the plug out of the socket a second time, I replaced all the #4 screws with longer #6 screws. It has become much stronger and works well now. I hooked it up to a Taymac MX3200 One Gang Vertical cover. I originally installed it in May 2017 and other than the bolts it has held up well with occasional use and I'm half a mile out of the ocean on the windward coast of Oahu…
