Comes apart nicely for tripod legs
One of the hinges literally fell apart after only six months of occasional use. The piece of metal at the top of one leg splintered and fell off. It's a terrible thing to happen in the field when you're trying to focus on a rare bird. It looks like you have to register the product within 3 months or else the 10 year warranty will be void. I am extremely disappointed. My old $200 head tripod still works 10 years later. Of course, this quality Gitzo tripod should have lasted much longer. Gitzo responded quickly and sold me new parts.
