My husband and I wired and attached two 48" string lights in about three hours. I did some planning/layout work beforehand. Overall the kit is impressive and flexible and will likely save you a few trips to the hardware store. We only completed the kit with a few items for our specific implementation - we wanted a thicker cable with a thicker plastic cover for the part that goes around the tree to better protect the bark supported by a pair of large hooks, which are screwed into the tree. Although we used the included twists to assemble each of the lights, I don't know if they will last - they are pretty lightweight. We added zip ties and tape on the ends/bends to prevent slipping. As mentioned in some other reviews, we had trouble attaching the wire clamps as the holes were too small. The smart man drilled the holes with a normal 7/64 drill and everything went smoothly after that. There's probably a small risk that the holes won't be smooth and will cut into the vinyl after a while, but now that they're screwed in I think it'll be fine. The vinyl coated recording cable and other accessories appear to be of good quality.
