First, Sean's recent review says wire rope is not suitable. Suitable if you remove the vinyl cover. I will note that this is the same for most vinyl coated cable ends. Love the end result (although admittedly my lights only last three days). The guy wires certainly provide a stronger attachment point for the lights, and the hardware provides good attachment points around the home and garage.
