First, Sean's recent review says wire rope is not suitable. Suitable if you remove the vinyl cover. I will note that this is the same for most vinyl coated cable ends. Once you rip it off (I used a utility knife and vise) you can easily create a finish. All in all, a really great garland kit is really all you need to put together a set at a really great price. Worth noting: - The 130 pieces are black zip ties, no zip ties - I thought they were zip ties, I think it's clear enough if you read more, but I missed it looking at the picture. After all, I think zip ties work better than zip ties. Cons: - Lack of instructions (see first point) - think if you are familiar enough with wire rope you can trick it, but some guidance on recommended connections (e.g. lanyard vs carabiner vs hook vs eye lanyard) - I mostly used a hook lanyard, but in hindsight a loop lanyard might have been a better choice. I didn't provide anything or any instructions on how to deal with this - I used cable end caps from a bike parts bin, but I think duct tape would work as well.
