Love the end result (although admittedly my lights only last three days). The guy wires certainly provide a stronger attachment point for the lights, and the hardware provides good attachment points around the home and garage. The combination of hardware was also helpful, particularly the turnbuckle-style hook and screw. This allowed for finer tuning/tightening. So why did I give four stars and not five? Because the hardware that allows the user to create a "loop" at the end of the wire has holes that ONLY let the wire through. What might have taken me a little time turned into the tedious and somewhat painful process of threading the coated wire through one hole, pulling it far enough for it to turn around, going into the second hole and THIS far enough to thread through for tightening and clamping with screws at both ends of the device. If the holes were SLIGHTLY larger the coated wire would easily go through, AND the screws on the ends would still create a secure clip that would hold everything in place. Thank goodness I only had to make two loops. I plan on adding some more wire around the covered porch, but I'm not looking forward to tying the ends of the wire up with the hardware provided. It shouldn't have been such a pain in the neck (and fingers)!
