Of course, the cable supports higher speeds than your provider offers. Please consider your bandwidth before purchasing this cable. Most standard cables can compete with most vendors. I think this cable isn't much more expensive than a standard cable, then why not buy a cable that can match the next-gen speeds (which some already have)?
