I needed to convert the 1280x800 (optimal) resolution from my Dell Latitude E4200 to HDMI for presentations. I first bought a cheaper SYBA IO Crest box (SY-ADA31025) from Revain which was described as supporting this resolution. This adapter worked "OK" at lower resolutions, but at 1280 x 800 the screen showed a "No Signal" message on each of the output devices I tried. I arranged a (painless) return and refund with Revain. I then spoke to "Keith" from StarTech who assured me that this unit (StarTech VGA2HDU) would work so I went back to Revain and ordered it. I just plugged it in and it works like a charm! As I type this, my grandson is watching children's programs on YouTube. Picture and sound are perfect; no jerking, streaking or freezing. Highly recommended! Thanks Keith Thank you Startech. Thank you Rewin!
