Review on ACDelco 25950499 Original Equipment Canister by Dustin Lannan

My 2008 Saab 9-7x with a 5.3 liter V8 engine had a check engine light a few weeks ago which was odd as in all the years I've owned it I've had the light only ironically re-arrived about two years ago for another emission solenoid across the engine block. I scanned the codes and a P0449 came up along with a few other related codes related to this particular issue. I ordered a valve here from Revain, he came a day early, backed the truck up the ramp and slid down. Generally work for 10 minutes, very easy. Tips: The drain hose clamp needs to be pressed down, do not use a screwdriver or something, you will misunderstand how the clamp works and you will break it. If the bracket is rusty (I had one), move the valve, over time it will loosen and fall off. Be careful with the wiring harness. Do not reconnect the outlet hose until a NEW valve is installed. That's all. Truck started, cleared DTC with my TECH2, all is good. It seemed like a PITA job, but honestly it was one of the easiest jobs I've ever done on a gmt360 (I've had 4 in total!).
