Review on 🍺 Homebrew Refractometer - Specific Gravity 1.000-1.120 by Mario Beaklini

Not even remotely accurate

This useless tool read my final weight as 1.036. This means that my beer that was fermented for 17 days with Kveik yeast, which should have been 6.6%, ended up being only 3%. Yes, this will be a 30% nerf for Quake. I'd rather gargle with beer and guess the alcohol content than spend money on this product. I'm pretty sure my taste buds will be much more accurate in determining final gravity than this product. Either buy a good, expensive refractometer, or stick with your hydrometer types (and I know some of you will say that the alcohol content skews the readings and I need to adjust them. I did it per Sean Terrill's material. Myself then corrected for FG 1.026. This still decay 50%. WITH QUAKE!)

Pros
  • 2-IN-1 REFRACTOMETER: Dual Scale Beer Brix Refractometer --- The Brix meter scale measures the concentration of sugar in beverages or solutions commonly used in the production of food, fruit drink, beverage, etc. be used. The SG wort scale helps you brew delicious beer. Brix range 0 - 32% (Β± 0.2%) and specific gravity 1.000 - 1.130 (0.001 cg) for unfermented wort
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
