My 20 year old sofa has a slightly odd shape. Hands go the full width of the squat. The cushions are L-shaped. The squats and pillowcases I've observed don't apply. When the leather of the cushions started to deteriorate, I wrapped it in a piece of faux leather. There is little we can do when the skin on the squat itself is torn from costly repairs. Too bad the frame, springs and pads are in great shape. When I see this stretched guy, I think we have a chance. And it fitted well. I chose a separate pillowcase because I knew it would help with custom shapes. I think it takes less than a minute to reinsert. Once you figure out what's in front and what's in back, all of the corners will fit together without much effort. I like having two separate pillowcases, they look better, especially when one person is sitting on one side. In winter they are very comfortable. I wash in the machine on the gentle cycle. I use low heat and it tumble dry in a short time. I don't even need a replacement when washing.
