. I liked the instructions and watched a youtube video which made the installation much easier. I made a solid square out of angle steel, made a flange to fill in the existing gaps and used an old water heater door sized to match the original opening. It was a miracle that he fit in so well. I bought a light and two switches from an RV store and made my own double switch because one didn't come with it and the one in the picture is no longer available. Connect it to the switch via an empty slot in the fuse box with a 10A fuse, run the wires through the shroud and mount the switches through a standard 120A box. At first it didn't work because I forgot to turn the valve, but when it started working the water was very hot. So beware, dual gas flow works and I even checked the gas cut and light. Do not turn on the power when the tank is empty and always perform maintenance. All in all it turned out great! The reason I give it 4 stars is because I measure it with my home water heater which is also $600 for 50 gallons and I can't justify in my head paying the same amount for a 6- Gallon RV water heaters at the same price. . It just doesn't make any sense to me. I would buy it again but still leaves that itch on my head.
