So I bought this to keep my dog from licking the couch. It makes me crazy! She doesn't chew, she licks and licks and licks until there's a big wet spot. We're working on the fear that motivates this, but in the meantime I'm trying to save my couches! The boy does the job! She doesn't even try. I would say spray close to the item you are spraying. This isn't an aerosol, but it pops up, you breathe it in a little and taste it. And you can't try for a while. Before spraying it on the sofa, I opened the bottle just to sniff it. It doesn't have a strong smell, which is nice, but I put a little on my finger and gave it a try. FORGIVENESS. It's very efficient! Haha!
