Review on 🚴 Fizik Performance Bicycle Bar Tape - Soft, Sticky & Timeless Professional Bike Handlebar Tape (2mm, 2.7mm, 3mm) by Michael Robertson

Thin tape as it should be

I had already bought this tape so I knew what I was getting into. This is not thick soft soft tape. If that's what you want, look elsewhere. This is a low profile thin band but with Fizik quality. That's great. If you want to wrap your rods in discreet, non-bulging tape then this is the ticket. I've tried all types of bar tape and I keep coming back to this style and the physics in general. I found this thin band to be just as comfortable, if not more so, and I love the firm feel of the bars just below the band. If you have aero bars then this tape makes even more sense: the aesthetics of a thin tape on a bike with nice lines is the only way out for me. This tape isn't very grippy, but it's not slippery either: a good balance. I can move my hands into different positions on the uneven bars with ease, but I never felt like I slipped. Due to the thin and easy stretching of the material, they are very easy to wrap. I'm an old school figure eight bar winder and I never need an extra piece of tape to cover the lever clips because that's how I wrap the hoods, and this tape makes that extra "bend" in the winding very easy. If you watch this tape, give it a try. I almost guarantee you won't be disappointed. If you're used to thick, thick 3mm and comfy tape, give it a try and see for yourself. You'll be surprised how good thin tape really is.
