Looks good but not as soft as expected

This tape looks good and should hold up well, but it's nowhere near as comfortable as the Fizik Performance bar tape it replaced. Both bands are 3mm thick, but the performance band is softer and also has slightly thinner edges for a neater look after wrapping. The band doesn't stretch very much so it's a bit awkward to put on, but it looks great when it's on the bars. . The length was more than sufficient for my standard 42cm rungs with a center overlap of about 1/3. I leave about 4-5 cm open…

Very bad padding best in Sport

This tape is very thin and has almost no padding. It's a synthetic felt, but it doesn't even dampen vibration. I've been using Cinelli Gel Tape for years and love it (there was nothing quite like Chris King's Matte Mango). In fact, this tape had my hands numb for 15 minutes. The lack of stretch also makes the tape more difficult to apply compared to the Cinelli gel plug, although I did get a good result in the end. PS: There are 3 different versions of this volume. This review is for the Tempo…

Not a fan of this handlebar tape. Too strong and difficult to work with

This bar tape is strong and will hold its shape and hard edges. This means that once installed, you can feel all the edges of the tape in any wind. That's stupid. Also, the medium perforation means you have to be careful with alignment as it looks odd if you have different numbers of perforations open in different areas. I would not particularly recommend this tape for aerobars as any complex shaped bar will struggle with the severe shape of the tape itself making cornering very difficult. The…

Cons
  • Not sure

This tape is some of the worst I've had to work with wrapping bars in over thirty years. Look closely at the pictures and note that the edge of the tape is not beveled or painted to match the surface color. It looked a lot worse than the photos. The lack of flexibility/stretch also makes the tape more difficult to apply compared to higher quality tapes and results in your hands becoming numb from constantly winding it to avoid wrinkles. To top it off, I was apparently sent a return product that

Thin tape as it should be

I had already bought this tape so I knew what I was getting into. This is not thick soft soft tape. If that's what you want, look elsewhere. This is a low profile thin band but with Fizik quality. That's great. If you want to wrap your rods in discreet, non-bulging tape then this is the ticket. I've tried all types of bar tape and I keep coming back to this style and the physics in general. I found this thin band to be just as comfortable, if not more so, and I love the firm feel of the bars…
