If I were you I would watch some videos on YouTube first. There's quite a bit of disassembly and reassembly in the trunk, a few different ideas for routing cables and trimming the grommet. I personally chose to leave the 4 pin connector in the trunk as this is my wife's car and I don't want the wires to be exposed. I decided to just poke a hole in it so the lead could be pulled from the front. , it seals the hole tightly. The upholstery under a car isn't that bad if you loosen the fiber covers underneath. Overall the setup is pretty clean!
