I was about to open my dryer the other day and felt more "POP" when the door opened. I think you can imagine what happened considering I'm reviewing a spare pen! In my case, only the top tab broke, so I could probably wait, but I wanted to go ahead and replace it before it broke completely. As soon as the new pen arrived I tore the old one to the end. switched off and installed a new one. It took a few taps to engage, but once felt very solid. The plastic itself seems more pliable than my old one, but it can also be new versus old (and overheated). In any case, it was a near-perfect match. color to the point. The only difference I've noticed (and it's being picky) is the very slightly textured back of my old grip compared to the smooth back of this new one. Otherwise they are exactly the same!
