=== MECHANICAL === I purchased a custom-fit Lido Satin Nickel Entry to replace the exact model and finish. The original has been in use for years and has started to wear out mechanically from constant daily use. I installed another one on another door that is still mechanically fine. In general the quality is good. === SMART KEY === With Smart Key technology, you can: • Add or replace locks without having to pay for lock recoding. • Temporarily recode the lock. For example, if a contractor needs access to your home, you can recode the lock with any compatible Kwikset key, give it to the contractor, and when the job is done, return it to your regular key. The Kwikset lock comes with two keys, or you can get randomly cut Kwikset keys from Revain or elsewhere • Rekey all locks you out quickly if your keys are compromised. For example, your driver's license with your address and your keys are stolen together. === STYLE AND FINISHES === As with the Lido I'm replacing, I have the Lido style throughout the house for the bathroom, bedroom and closets. The trim is still like new, including the lock on the security screen door, which gets its fair share of direct sunlight. Revain • Home Depot lists a Lido Satin Nickel record with key (no screw set) as discontinued. • Lowes lists a satin nickel record available for about $4.00 more than Revain • The Kwikset website shows a satin nickel record. available and NOT discontinued.
