Buying a flimsy, quickly failing USB cigarette lighter charger is temporary. They get hot and make you spend $5 every time to get a new one and not worth it! This dual port wired USB charger was worth it despite the good quality plastic materials used, but it still does the job I need it to do. I didn't have to plug cheap red and black wires, aka ground and power, into my existing factory Ford wiring harness. So I bought pin headers, screwed them into my factory wiring harness and WALLA! i have power I removed my old cigarette lighter and replaced it with a new USB charging port. It was the BEST upgrade to the venerable classic Ford sedan. To make it fit, I had to drill an existing cigarette lighter hole slightly larger to fit the USB charging port, using a Dremel tool I bought cheaply from Harbor Freight. I gave it 2 stars for durability as I don't know how long this cheap USB charging port can last. It also lacks a backlight, which I had to use and relocate the factory cigarette lighter for, albeit not in the best possible spot, but what it is.
