I first saw a dual function burnisher being used in one of my offices where my burnisher/detailer was using it to remove curl from a black car he was doing color corrections on. He used one of the lower torque models, but it worked great. I was only aware of the traditional rotary polishers that we've been using for color correction for years. Now I haven't used it and haven't used it after sanding at 2000-3000 grit after color grading, but I have no doubt it will handle it. These dual actions don't generate as much heat as the rotating ones, so it might take a few more passes, but this particular model has plenty of power and good action with a long trajectory. Under heavy duty conditions, a standard rotary tool is faster in the initial post-grind polishing phase, but I'd use this dual action the rest of the way to get great results. I wish the rest of my colleagues had one of these in the shop for a quick polish, especially on dark finish cars. Wax my 2020 Tundra and our camper from time to time. This would be the typical use of most DIY buyers on Amazon. I will say that this Torq polisher gets the job done with excellent results with minimal room for error. Rotary polishers generate a lot of heat and can EASILY burn through your vehicle's paintwork. I don't recommend a rotary polisher unless you know what you're doing and just don't want to make random parts and wax your car. The dual action doesn't produce the same heat and is very forgiving as it slides off the plate and hits the rubber moldings and trim. Rotary eats molded rubber parts or plastic trim in no time. But at the end of the day I was able to do a complete Honda CRV restoration. A good wash and bleach is the only prep work and the result was top notch. I will say that experience matters to get good results. Practice in small areas and take your time. The best part? You're much less likely to ruin or damage your finish in the process. That's the beauty of double acting. As for the tundra, it just left the showroom and didn't have to go through all the stations. I just went straight to the last wax pad and used ceramic wax and it was easy to apply. GENERAL - Good workmanship, looks solid and high quality. - EASY to use - Good for home or professional use. Well I have a feeling they will last a long time. Be sure to clean after each use. The included V-series links are still not sold. I would like to use them in the shop and see how they work. But they work.
