I like the machine, it's a good long stroke burnisher. But I have a problem, the screw holding the bottom plate broke off and it flew away. I have emailed you twice about replacing the polisher and have not received a response. That's why I give 1 star. (Also only about 4 months old)

Great product definitely gave me 1000 times more money back when it just broke so 1 year some abuse. I've polished a lot with it, including some planes. Has good power. No crazy heavy digital function. Overall a good polisher. But I wish it lasted more than a year if I cared for it, never dropped it or it was always wiped off by something and blown. ... that was my way, I can take another one since I already have my rupees.

I bought this for work about 3 weeks ago and finally got around to polishing tonight. I put on a pad, squeezed out some kind of connection and got to work. Halfway through the driver's side back door, the side handle came loose and the polisher slammed into the door and landed on the floor. Luckily the door wasn't damaged. Has worked as it should for about 3 months. I was building a car when I noticed smoke and didn't know where it was coming from. I soon felt warmth on my shoulder and noticed that the end of the power cord was hot and my extension cord was melting. When I pulled it out, one of the pins disappeared, it melted. Okay, first of all I'm dated. I've been using a DeWalt rotary for almost 20 years and said I'd never get the double action results I can get from my rotary engine. Obviously I'm wrong and I'll be late to the party, got my TORQ 15DA this morning and made my first car with it (my car of course). I feel like a newbie could use this and wouldn't screw anything up, I'm absolutely in awe of this bad boy and the results speak for themselves. I'm not a professional but I've taken the time to build my own cars. I would give this 5 stars if it had more speed control than just toggling between 5 speeds, maybe doubling it to 10 or at least a few more steps. This makes the 4 digit reading almost an unnecessary gimmick, a single digit from 1 to 5 would work just as well. I would say the preset speeds have good gradations. My other minor disappointment is that it doesn't use 'standard' skid plates so you're limited to the 5' or 6' provided

I first saw a dual function burnisher being used in one of my offices where my burnisher/detailer was using it to remove curl from a black car he was doing color corrections on. He used one of the lower torque models, but it worked great. I was only aware of the traditional rotary polishers that we've been using for color correction for years.
