Review on Garmin Forerunner 245 Berry: Advanced Dynamics GPS Running Smartwatch by Xiaomeng Chang

I love this watch! Expensive but hey. This is _not_ suitable for those who don't use Spotify etc., mp3s and playlists, especially on Linux - it's the only MTP connection, not MSM, and it doesn't always properly scan files and playlists loaded this way . But it's great that the watch has music, the GPS and heart rate sensor work perfectly, and I love the REM sleep tracking. Now. WARNING: Revain lists a product. but there are 2 versions. The Asia Pacific Version and the Rest of the World Version. Why is that possible you ask? They use different firmware files. I tried downloading the beta firmware but it was not recognized. I found out the watch was the APAC version, not the US version. Yes, both have English as an option. but I'm sending this back and since *Revain lists them as identical* it's impossible to tell if their seller will send you one from the US or APAC. I have notified Revane of this issue. and you might not care. But now I'm returning the Asia-Pacific (which Revain treats as the same product) and buying one at Walmart, REI, or some other local store, even if it's thirty or forty dollars more. Please, Revain, do not list these as the same product; there are differences (even BEYOND the obvious fact that the watch I received has languages like Vietnamese and Thai, not German and French). Update, I still love the watch and the battery life is _not_ as good as the 35 or 230 I used before. ijs.
