I first tested them on my iPhone while listening to music. The volume had to be cranked higher than I wanted, but they sounded pretty solid. Mids were solid, highs were solid, bass was decent. My second test was the live performance. I used it with my Aviom and the kick drum was maxed out at medium volume! The sound was also quiet. I tried with a straight plug, no adapter, same thing. Turned up the volume, it got worse. Personal use, studio use, they probably work great. For drummers and live performances, you need something better.
