First off, the cutter looks well built. BUT, see pictures. I've worked with tools, including routers, for many years. I KNOW they can be spicy. I KNOW I have to be careful when handling it. BUT THE PACKAGING IS TERRIBLE. I opened the protective case. I carefully picked up the cutter's BASE. I tried to detach it from the plastic base. he shot himself so i tried to twist him. Still stuck. Then I pulled a little more, and because the cutter was very smooth, my fingers slid up, along the blades! CATASTROPHE ! It almost turned into a trip to the emergency room, my index finger and thumb got cut. My trusty repair kit of tape and paper towels stopped the bleeding, and I went back to the router to try and get it out. it required PLIERS and I didn't want to scratch the burr so I was very careful removing it, STILL a great deal of effort. If Freud responds to this review I may change my rating from one star because the bit itself looks well constructed and balanced (have NOT used it yet) (I bought this to make small channels for some hardboard shelves to to insert them vertically vertically for storage in the workshop)
