Review on πŸ’» Kingwin SSD/SATA to IDE Bridge Adapter Board - Effortlessly Convert SATA Devices to IDE | Supports 2.5 Inch, 3.5 Inch HDD | Compatible with SATA I/II/III Hard Drives by Adam Rogers

If you're using this to upgrade your original Xbox hard drive, continue.

This adapter is just great for converting a SATA drive to an IDE connection and by making it the master drive in the chain you can connect another set of drives as slaves. But the real problem is using this adapter to connect a new hard drive to an original Xbox. Due to the way home-made cloning software (Chimp) works, you cannot use a standard hard drive as a "slave" which means there is no way to resolve the conflict if you want to clone your hard drive. So I had to try using a cryptic program called "XboxHDM" and it was relatively ineffective. I ended up returning it and buying an adapter with an M/S jumper. If you are in the market for such things, do the same. Kingwin really should have put an M/S jumper on this board (the jumper there only controls data flow, not the order of drives in the IDE chain).
