These egg rings are fairly easy to use however some precautions should be taken. First, they only really work in a real flat-bottomed pot. You will be disappointed if the rings are used in a pan with any texture or other irregularities on the surface as the egg white will seep under the ring before cooking. The same goes for a pan with a dished bottom. Use the lubricating oil to spray both the pan and the rings and begin to heat the pan before adding the eggs. Cooking spray makes it much easier to loosen the boiled eggs from the rings. Heat the pan slightly so that the egg whites set faster around the edges and the egg whites leak out under the ring as little as possible. The rings appear to be well made.
