Screws for hardware are missing

There are 6 screw holes on the plate but there were only 4 screws in the packaging. Now I need to find some brass head screws to match the ones provided or try to find 6 other screws to install them. What quality control does not see that there are not enough screws? The slab is pretty flimsy but it will work for what I have in mind.
