Hardly required power

I was very excited to get this. The size I ordered fitted the space I needed perfectly so I didn't have to trim it. The previous tenants of my apartment had matte tints on the windows and I like to face the street and let as much light into my house as possible. I live on the ground floor and it's not elevated from the street so everyone can look straight in and see our entire apartment. So I was concerned about privacy when someone is walking by. So I looked for alternative tints for windows but the problem with other tints is that during the day you can see out well but at night when we have the lights on everyone can see in. So I thought of a transparent curtain but that would be too much work and the space is so small. So in my search I found these blinds that didn't need nails, screws or drilling, just self-adhesive. They fit perfectly in the gap between my closet and windowsill and there is enough height between them to hide, just have to be careful not to push it too far. Today is the first day it works and so far so good. It's going to be pasted onto drywall paint, so we'll see how it holds up. I know glue sticks better to shiny surfaces. My kitchen isn't very bright, so I'm glad there's a way to brighten it up with these blinds. What I like is that you need almost no force to lower and minimal effort to push. because my husband was fiddling with it, showing it to our friend and it got uneven and I was trying to fix it and then it came loose. I already had a fix for this when that time comes and I need to restore it. Glue sticks best to a glossy surface, so I taped a strip of 2-inch clear tape over the painted area, taped a new strip of double-sided tape over the blinds, and taped the blinds over the glued area. I will update again if it was a mistake. **Updated November 20, 2021** Still holding up well since my last update using the tape cleanup method. I had problems with bumps. I always try to pull both sides together instead of pulling on the middle because that creates tension on the glue, but I'm so small that reaching far to get to the right side isn't always ideal. So I followed the instructions to pull out the blinds to the maximum length to reset them. A few days ago it was well aligned.
