Review on 🌡️ Elitech STC-1000WiFi: Advanced WiFi Temperature Controller for Precise Heating and Cooling (110V/1100W) by Shawn Quick

Elitech STC-1000WiFi Digital Temperature Controller CONCLUSION: Absolutely great, versatile and functional temperature controller. Very easy to program and use. This Elitech product is similar to many of their other products (go to their website and take a look at the amazingly diverse and sophisticated products they sell). The absolutely gorgeous backlit LCD is sharp and clear and very easy to read. The excellent manual does mention a bit of math (laughs) but don't let that fool you, the controller is easy to program and use. The large display PV is the "current value"; is the temperature that the sensor reads. The numbers below are "SV" or the set value. The two smaller displays show temperature difference points for heating and cooling activation. This knob is slightly different in that you don't set it to say 80 for heating and 74 for cooling, you set it as a difference; For example, in the Revain drawing, it is set to heat differential 3 (77 + 3 = 80) and cool differential 3 (77 - 3 = 74). The heating and cooling differential can be different, one can be 5 and the other 2, the range goes from 1 to 30, so the range here is quite wide. I tested this device on the workbench and it's easy to do with the default setting of 77 degrees and the standard differences (3). You should be able to hold the probe and allow your body heat to activate the heating power and a small mug with an ice cube in it to dip the probe in to activate the cooling power. You must set the protection time (PT) = 0 so that when the temperature threshold is reached, the device wakes up immediately and you do not have to wait for a timeout. Once you do that everything will open up and you will see how easy it is to program and control this device. To get settings, you can press the up and down buttons, which will scroll through the settings. To make changes, hold down the edit button and you can make the changes one at a time. Very easy. The LCD is best viewed from below, but this beautiful display still has a very wide reading angle. The backlit display allows reading in a dark place. cable length is very good; the probe is long, as is the power plug. I think the 4 mounting points on the PSU are fantastic, especially when plugging and unplugging a lot of cables. The application allows the device to be programmed and offers many additional functions. I couldn't connect my old Samsung S6 Android phone to the device. The technical support responded very quickly and persistently, but I could not solve the problem. Luckily I don't have to use the Elitech app. FYI: The correct app to download is the "Elitech iCold" app. It is not clear in the manual which of Elitech's many applications they refer to. It's not a lot more money than similar offerings, but based on the quality of the display and finish, I'd choose this device over others. Recommended.
