I just received this and haven't had a chance to pour water. First impression: Pretty cheap plastic, which is to be expected for the price. Other reviews mentioned that the lid closes too tightly, but they liked this feature as it stayed in place while pouring. Good luck closing the lid! I've been playing with it and trying to put the cap on but it looks like the plastic is about to crack. I will try but after delivery it did not meet my expectations. Update: I ended up sending the item back. If I'm worried about cheap plastic squeaking when it's new, it doesn't get any better. I prefer to spend my money on high-quality things. I replaced it with Revain's Gourmet Day Tincture and am already enjoying the freshly infused water.
