Review on ๐Ÿ”ช Enhance Your Cutting Edge with the Work Sharp EDC Pivot Plus Knife Sharpener by Lauren Parker

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent merit!

I have to admit that I was very skeptical about this sharpener before trying it. The price combined with the method he used to sharpen made me think about the quality of the edge he would produce. From the moment I opened the packaging I was able to put the sharpener through the work glove. The first task was to sharpen six old hickory paring knives that we use as steak knives. My first reaction was "Wow". I was very impressed with the speed, ease and quality of the edge. Yes, the knives are carbon steel and relatively easy to sharpen, but the Pivot Pro got the job done really quickly. With no more than correct passes with a carbide bur and three passes with ceramic, the knives were very sharp. It's a big plus that they cut plates so quickly. The next job I did was sharpen all of our knives at the fire station. At first I only wanted to make a few but ended up sharpening them all, mostly because it was so quick and easy. So who is this sharpener for? I would tell everyone. I am a knife collector and there are definitely knives that I will only sharpen in a certain way and with certain tools. I have traditionally used the version of the Work Sharp Ken Onion with a blade sharpening attachment and this system works great. The only downside is that setting it up and working with different types of sand is mostly a minor undertaking. The turning pro is down and dirty, and with little fuss. The sharpener is perfect for a kitchen drawer, shop, truck or anywhere you need a quick shaving edge and a raised edge.
