Incredible, I know, but I actually bought these as toys for my jaded cats. They play for a day or so with catnip toys, then ignore them. I figured they needed something that made unusual noises and moved at the slightest touch like their ancestral prey- but also something I would see easily without my glasses so I wouldn’t nearly kill myself if I get up at night to use the restroom. These are perfect! They rattle and shush against hard flooring, they move at the slightest bump, and they’re large enough and bright enough to catch the cats’ attention and mine. The cats love chasing them when I roll them down the hallway, and pounce when I play hide-and-seek under throws or furniture. It’s not an expected use but it works! 😺
