Review on Hankook Tire Winter i*Pike RS2 W429 215/50 R17 95T by Stanislaw Gluszek ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I am not disappointed, the quality is satisfying.

Tire size 185/65R14. Tires with a release date of week 10 in 2022 were purchased in October 2022. Drove roughly 100 kilometers. At first, I assigned the tire one point because, according to the manufacturer, it is supposed to be a quiet one. It's not, and in addition to that, it's a crooked stud. Before that, I traveled to Nordman4 on another car that belonged to the same class. During that time, the tires on that vehicle had been off the road for ten winters, resulting in the loss of six spikes on the front tires and two spikes on the back tires. There was also noise produced by the nordman4, but it was only audible when there was recently fallen snow on the ground. In contrast, here there is always a rumbling, regardless of whether the pavement is dry or wet. If you want to avoid the sense of flying through a cornfield, you should put on some noise-cancelling headphones while you are in the car, even though the "shumka" is tolerable. When I drive on summer tires, I continuously hear the clicking of numerous relays. There has been some consideration given to the possibility of selling rubber. November 2022. I put 1200 kilometers on the tires, and they make a lot of noise. On the track, both when it is raining (showering) and when it is dry, they keep normal, and I did not observe any extraordinary changes in the way they taxi. When traveling at a speed of sixty kilometers per hour through intersections such as "clover," you can hear the spikes gliding across the tarmac. It looks like the pins are in the correct positions. May 2022. lowered the rating of the tire to four stars. During the winter, I traveled a total of 3500 kilometers. The tires perform quite well. Even when it is snowy, even when it is icy, even when it is asphalt, there are times when it throws in a rut. Never found ourselves in a bind during the winter months. The wear resistance of the tires is typical, and while there is some minor shredding of the rubber on the leading spikes, ALL of the spikes have been successfully planted, including the ones that were put in a crooked manner. This vehicle does not have anti-bux protection. There is actually ABS. Slippages occurred during the stagging process, of course, particularly in the snow-ice salt porridge, and the ABS also functioned properly. It would be nice if the tires had better stopping ability. Although there were some lateral drifts and skids, the automobile is easy to steer and can enter the appropriate trajectory with little effort. The noise of the tires appears to have diminished, although it's possible that we've simply become accustomed to it. They are substantially less effective than Nordman 4 at picking up stones from the roadway and incorporating them into the tread. It is inevitable that they will grow tanned in temperatures below minus 20, but this will not have a substantial impact on their ability to drive. In general, the tires have a good price-to-quality ratio and are a good investment.

Pros
  • Clearly softer than the ones I wore during the summer. When driving on asphalt, however, there is a loud and irritating rumble that can be heard, although the sound of the spikes themselves is not audible. When traveling at a slow pace on the primer, the tires make almost little audible noise. up to 40 grams per wheel while maintaining excellent balance. Disks "stamping".
Cons
  • Extremely noisy, the "airplane" rumbling can be heard on dry or wet asphalt at speeds greater than 40 kilometers per hour; the higher the speed, the more severe the rumble, particularly between 60 and 80 kilometers per hour. At the same speed, perceptible shaking of the vehicle occurs, as if the wheel is "oval." I experienced this shaking on Kama after the wheel had been flat for several months, but only at speeds of up to 20 kilometers per hour. Perhaps they are asphalt waves, but they have been spotted in a few different locations. I used the sound level meter on my phone to determine the intensity of the rumble, and it reached up to 90 decibels (dB). The research took into consideration all of the noise that was coming from the vehicle, therefore the results showed that the highest peaks occurred at frequencies between 600 and 800 Hz, while the peaks of average intensity occurred around 4000 Hz. It is a really painful experience to drive a car in a rut on asphalt, like he does. When inflated to 2.2 psi, the front tires have a significant amount of sag and give the impression that the vehicle has been lowered. Poor studding, with only two to three spikes on each of the four tires that were purchased; these spikes are also not entirely planted; rather, they are positioned higher than the others; there are images.
