Review on Deco Gear Curved Ultrawide Monitor 35", VIEW220, LED, 3440X1440 Resolution by Ron Khadka

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The first was DOA, the replacement seems to be sufficient.

I received it fairly quickly and installed it on a PC using the DP cable that came with it. The right side of the screen went blank immediately. Off on Have changed the cable. I got it working for about half a second, then it got pixelated again. Thinking it might be the cable, I switched it as a second monitor for my iMac and connected an HDMI cable and it showed the exact same result as well. Went back and read some reviews and of course I'm not the first. I requested a replacement through Revain and the 2nd showed up in less than a week. On new. The screen works fine this time. A few things I noticed: The yellow is very orange. I played around with the profile and settings and they got better, but it needed some major tweaks. The white is VERY white, meaning a lot of the text boxes I'm used to are missing. Again I had to play around with brightness on one side and contrast on the other. Preinstalled profiles are not very good. Finally, the buttons at the bottom are very poor for navigating the OSD. It will take some time to figure out which key to press to get to which screen and get what you want to do. It could have been done better. All in all, for the price you pay for a very wide monitor, this is a decent screen. I'm really tired of getting one that was half dead on arrival so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that one day it doesn't die when I turn it on.

Pros
  • decoration equipment
Cons
  • Bad viewing angles. Poor viewing angles can cause the display to appear distorted or blurry when viewed from the side or at an angle.
