I had an idea of what I wanted to do with a piece of glass that I had. I wanted to cover one side with a light metallic fill and then etch the other side so the white etch paint has a metallic background. As I only wanted metallic colors I went with this one as it also has a rose gold color which I know I will be using in the future. For the experiment I used the color gunmetal, as well as copper and silver. I placed a few drops of silver on the alcohol coated glass and waited for a while, expecting it to spread all over my body. I was pleasantly surprised that they didn't bleed as quickly as I expected since it's a thicker ink (probably due to the mica). I was able to spread the color with a brush stroke and also add and spread some copper. The real hit, however, was gunmetal. It's a deep gray color and the metallic sheen is just beautiful. I was able to put a ton of ink on the glass to get a nice view of the night sky. The ink spreads fairly well when smeared, and although I've had to reactivate it with alcohol a couple of times, this happens whenever you play with alcohol ink for more than three minutes. The end result was gorgeously opaque, just what I wanted. I didn't use a lot of ink either, so I'll see myself doing some window panes before I have to buy more. , that extra 0.15 ounces is absolutely huge when you use it. Also, when applied with ink, they retained the vibrancy of the color even where I had applied them in a thin layer. I love this ink and will definitely buy more when I need a nice vibrant color!
