I used this alcohol based ink to spritz on old white ceramic tile. They turned out very beautiful. Alcohol ink is sooo expensive at craft stores so I decided to try an alternative. I know a lot of people use alcohol ink to create resin designs but I haven't used it for this purpose so I can't confirm how it works other than just painting on a non-porous surface. Bright colors!

I used this ink mixed with resin and pearlescent mica powder to make both pots in my paintings. In addition to mica and resin, I used regular white in both cases, and in the colorful copy I used royal blue, purple, and pink. The colors blended really well and didn't thicken the resin which would have changed the way it was cast. Royal blue was a beautiful light color. Purple was a darker greyish color and pink was light.

It's important to note that this is the first time I've used alcohol ink. Okay, I'm an experienced artist, I have nothing to compare. The bottles are sealed inside and must be punctured. The side panel can be easily pierced with the included pin/button. The colors are very true. They don't seem to "bloom" like the Ranger inks, but I may not have applied them like other artists do. For the price I would definitely recommend to any artist starting out and want a good selection.

It took me quite a while to open the tiny alcohol paint dispensing hole. They included a thumbtack to open a tiny plastic hole. Be careful not to attempt this task in the kitchen or in the sink, or you will regret the results. I inserted the needle and when I pulled it out the pressure created a vacuum and the paint covered my entire countertop. From the photo provided I had no idea they are so tiny. This ink gives a lot of shine and shine. They are easy to use and the color can be vibrant depending on what they are used for. CONS: There is a lot of sediment that can clog the product. The curds left a pile of shiny dust that I could reuse, but if I tried to achieve flowability I'd be disappointed. TIP: Cover the spout with a cotton swab or cloth when removing the pen to avoid splashing. Multiple colors add unique imperfections that create beauty. I would buy again.
