I used to have a hard plastic file case to hold important documents. But my old case did not lock and was very heavy. I stored it on a high shelf. This replacement case fit all of the documents that I had in my other case, with room to spare. It is soft sided, so if not full, it may collapse a bit, but it is much easier to handle and get in and out of the high area where I store my documents. The lock seems sturdy enough - and is primarily to deter interest in trying to go through my papers. Lots of pockets for small items like credit-card sized items - and passports. I obtained small portfolio folders for items to store in the bottom sections - so that papers would not be loose in the large storage portion of the case. I like the case. So far, it's serving its purpose.
