Review on Nikon Z6 Mirrorless Camera with Nikkor 24-70mm Lens, 64GB XQD Card and Photography Accessories Bundle (5 Items) by Bhavin Patel ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I was surprised by the quality for this price.

I love to travel, but I didn’t have the strength to carry my old D3s with me, while the whole family is resting, I carry this bandura, but I don’t want to shoot with my phone, the quality of phone pictures, no matter how much they convince me, doesn’t satisfy me, but always under hand, but there is no strength to look at this soap. As a result, reluctantly with my soul and wallet, I put my D3s on sites selling used equipment, sold it somewhere in a couple of months for a penny, of course, but from that moment I no longer clung to it and was able to consider something new for myself, especially since there are two lenses left from D3s. After shoveling all sorts of reviews, touching a bunch of cameras on the PhotoForum, I decided to stop at Z6, many pointed out the XQD memory card as a minus, but for me this is not a problem, since I sold my D3s with all Compact Flash cards, I bought an XQD card for 32 gb (Then I did not know that when buying they give XQD for 64 gb as a gift). To sum up, I am satisfied with the camera, it is light, the ergonomics have remained the same as usual, the menu is the same as it was, in fact, a painless transition.

Pros
  • Focus on the eyes, the function sounds like an unnecessary appendage to the usual autofocus system, and in principle, you can simply focus on the face, or, as in the old fashioned way, on a separate point. But as it turned out, this is an extremely intuitive function that has helped me more than once when shooting a restless son, and instead of a bunch of duplicate shots to make sure, I now take 5-10 shots and always know that I got the focus where I need it, out of 10 such shots, I I know that 6 will be just fine focused. The traditional menu to which I have become accustomed over the years of using Nikon equipment, in fact, having taken a new camera, I literally immediately understood what and how, and that the most important thing is where to click in the menu to find the functions I need. Autofocus speed is excellent even through an adapter, I still have two lenses from a SLR camera, 35 mm f1.4 and an inexpensive 70-300 VR, both work through an adapter without any complaints, 35 mm f1.4, coupled with a new matrix, generally shows itself on at such a high level that I have no words. I used to think that the D3s produced a great picture at high ISOs, but the Z6 handles ISO 4000, 5000 and 6500 without problems.
Cons
  • There are downsides, compared even with my old D3s, the battery is rather weak, that is, I could shoot 2022-2500 frames on one battery, if I shoot in normal weather conditions, it’s clear that where it’s cold, then all this can be divided into 2. Z6, in turn, produces 1000-1200 frames on a single battery charge.
