I’ll make a reservation right away: I’m not a pro, but an amateur with great experience. For the last 25 years - on Nikon, then switched from Zenith E to film Nikon F70. I shoot mainly in foreign tour trips to exotic countries. The last 5 years - Nikon D7100 crop with a modest fleet of not super-aperture optics: - Nikkor 35mm/1.8G DX (Fix 1) Nikkor 50mm/1.8G (Fix 2) Nikkor 85mm/1.8G (Fix 3) Nikkor 16-85mm/3.5…5.6G DX VRii (Zoom) - What did not suit the once popular D7100: 1) Matrix noise, oddly enough, even at low ISO - from 200 ("grain" on faces - I like to enlarge photos on a computer), and very strong noise from ISO=1000. 2) Unstable focusing when working with fixes at f1.8 . f3.2. 3) Crop. 4) Chromatic aberrations (the editor only partially removes them!): especially with the popular 35mm DX-fix. 5) There is no stub on the matrix. I have long dreamed of switching to FF, and getting rid of problems with focusing. === After reading many forums, including reviews here, I took Nikon Z6 for a test drive for 24 hours in "Bright World (FOTOMARKET) = Foto-ONE" (Peter). With FTZ adapter, without kit Z-zoom, but with 50mm/1.8S fix. I mastered it (partially - there is not much time!), I tested it while walking in the Lesotekhnichki park. Brief impressions Z6 vs D7100. Firmware Z6 = 3.0: === 1) I put my fixes one by one through FTZ on Z6. Sharpness at f1.8 is excellent; focused on the Z6 on one center point (but not on the micro-pin-point). IMHO: two-stage focusing has a noticeable effect: phase + contrast. Detailing with the old G-fixes is good (only 35mm is a little "soapy"). By the way, this Nikon 35mm / 1.8G DX fix immediately switched the Z6 to crop mode (an option that cannot be disabled in the Z6 menu!). Chromatic aberrations from my old G-fixes (especially 35mm) have not gone away, of course. 2) In terms of the focusing speed of the Z6 with a 50mm / 1.8S vs FTZ + 50mm / 1.8G lens, to be honest, I didn’t notice the difference: everything is fast and clear. === I bought in the end: Z6 kit (without FTZ) with 24-70mm / 4S + fix 50mm / 1.8S with 2 protective filters HOYA 72mm and 62mm. Satisfied!
