Review on 📁 WD My Book 4TB USB 3.0 Desktop External Hard Drive - WDBBGB0040HBK-NESN by Demarco Vonk

I'm an IT professional and have purchased countless WD products over the years. 15/18 are completely backed up and only fail on 23.7.18 with the complete loss of the customer data backup. Refurbished device with minimal kit in plain brown packaging. Less than a week later, when I was using a plug-in device, it started disconnecting at completely random intervals from every USB port I tried. I've been using a 4GB MyBook for 4 years and it's been an absolute workhorse without a single problem. I thought it might be the cable from 6GB I changed to 4GB and it still randomly disconnects. So, out of common sense, I hooked up 4GB to the same machine and tested both cables and I had no problems, ie not a single disconnect. To say I'm upset and utterly disappointed is an understatement! I would like to return the 2nd /replacement/ unit but I have completely lost confidence that the 3rd unit will work better than the first two. VERY DISAPPOINTED!
