Designed for use on circuits where glycol is prohibited as it is too slippery when the radiator is torn. Exceeding specification by 2 lbs is safe as long as your system is intact. 2 lbs will reduce overheating by 10-15 degrees. The aluminum radiator did the same. Why. I had a mysterious overheating issue which I FINALLY found out after fixing everything else, so much for all the experienced mechanics on google searches. Here it is: Waterhammer showed no outward signs of distress. The water flowed well. BUT the lousy plastic impeller ripped off. Turned under 40 mph but stopped pushing water at cruising speed.
