If you install the device higher than the rear wheel, the device may not work. I installed this on a tool box for my truck. The front fork is on top of the body and the rear wheel is on the truck bed. The shape of the caliper doesn't allow me to use the fork up as the caliper rests on the top of the toolbox. If they had made the bracket 10mm higher it would have worked. Works with some brakes just not the bike I bought it for. I'm just going to make a metal spacer to put under the fork mount so it's high enough.
