I bought these to replace two Kicker midrange drivers that were $85 each, but the amp broke them when it failed. Surprisingly, these speakers perform almost as well as the Kickers and cost a lot less. I think when it comes to factory installed speakers it's really hard to know what kind of performance you're going to get due to the uncontrolled and variable airspace behind the speaker. So when it comes to small woofers and mid-bass speakers, if you won't bother creating a dedicated built-in box where you can control and adjust the airspace for a high-end speaker, you can too start off cheaply only to see what kind of performance you get after interacting the speaker and airspace specs. Your car is more important than who and how much the speaker costs. In June 2011, one of them had a broken voice coil. I still think these are great speakers for the price because I pretty much beat them and I had a much more expensive speaker sound. no better and fails in less time, and the failure of a $15 speaker isn't that big of a deal. I will replace the broken one with the same one and the other one still works. Another voice coil branch in March 2016. For the last 4 years they have been driven by a 250 RMS channel amplifier with no problems. I still don't think you can beat them for the price.
