This cover did exactly what I needed - protecting the memory foam seat in my beach cruiser during my cross country trip. I use a tow hitch on my SUV so it's already sheltered from a headwind. But I rode at 80 mph on windless days, high wind days, and rainy days. My chair passed without damage. The cover stayed on the whole time, I didn't have to pull the cord at all, but I checked it every night just to be sure.
