I probably got a bad one but it trips at around 150 amps. It's not starting the engine or anything else that suddenly increases the amperage. And when it turns off, you have to wait longer than the allowed time for it to stay on. It's a few minutes. Should be good and cool in seconds. If it worked properly, it would be good. It seems to be of good design and easy to use. Edit: I kept using it while the new switch was on the way as 150 amps was still "OK". only worked when starting the engines. that was often, but it was easy to reset. It got worse. It was on the inverter/charger and started shutting down while charging the batteries. This is just a guess, but I believe there was only 20 amps flowing at the time (which shut down the inverter/charger even though it was shore power and ruined some groceries). The new switch never worked. So it was definitely that switch.
