I am really impressed with this little camera for the price it is being sold for. My cockatiels have just given birth to their first babies in the nest box so it's difficult to keep track of. Cameras sold as bird's nest cameras cost at least twice as much. The resolution is excellent, customizable (1080, 720, 460) and color. Night vision really works! (Black & White) Night Vision mode emits no visible light, which is ideal, but you still get bright and clear video. While live streaming to your phone, you can turn on the sound to hear what's happening around the camera. (There is no function to talk to the camera, but for what I need it's fine). I have a few cons. First, I wish there was a way to monitor battery levels. Second, the instructions were in somewhat broken English and a little difficult to translate, causing the installation to take a little longer than it should. I tried to register with my email address but didn't receive a confirmation email. even after 3 attempts. So I decided to use single sign-on with Facebook. Here are the general steps. 1. Connect the camera to the power supply to charge it. 2. Download and install the application. 3. Open the app and "register" either via email or single sign-on for social networks. 4. The app will help you connect DIRECTLY to the camera first (what they call "hotspot"). There are different models that you can connect to. The correct one is the one without a model number. Once you select it, you'll be prompted to exit the app, go to your phone's Wi-Fi settings, and choose a camera hotspot name. 5. Once connected to the camera's hotspot, return to the app and confirm the Wi-Fi network you want the camera to connect to in your home by providing the network name and password. 6. Then you can also set a password for the camera hotspot to prevent other people from connecting to it. Now, if you don't want to control your camera from outside the home, you don't need to connect it to your WiFi. You can watch recordings or live video simply by connecting to the camera's hotspot.
