Review on Doubletake Mirror Indestructible Motorcycle Mirrors by Donald Gore

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good mirrors but maybe too expensive

I bought these and installed them on my Royal Enfield Himalayan. All necessary adapters were included. Installation was as simple as unscrewing my old mirrors, choosing the right adapter, and screwing in the new ball joints. From there, attach the plunger arm and line up the mirror. These mirrors look good on a bike. You look like you're ready for an adventure. When driving, they are rock solid. No vibration up to 6,000 rpm. Since they use RAM mounts and hardware, the customization is fantastic. No problem seeing my elbows and the reach behind me is good. In terms of functionality, it's just fantastic. In terms of quality, the RAM mount is what you would expect. Good quality. The supplied adapters are made of aluminum and have tight tolerances. The threads go freely into the fasteners until you tighten them. Keyhole cutouts are very tight. A key for 12 will do, but takes a little persuasion. The SAE keys are either too big or too small, so they should be 12mm. Mirror housings are made of duroplastic plastic. It's strong and tough, but looks worn. It's okay if you don't care about such things. In general, these are good mirrors. I think they are overpriced for what you get. If the price dropped by $30 or $40, it wouldn't be hard.

Pros
  • The enduro mirror offers a great combination of features when deployed and low profile when folded.
Cons
  • No Instructions
