Update: Seller sent a replacement helmet. Unfortunately, the second helmet has the same problem with blinking in the initial arc. Although the video shows a flash, it doesn't reflect how bright it really is. You can see in the video that the flash does not appear on subsequent arcs. Who doesn't like a deal unless the deal ain't actually a deal? I had high hopes of finally finding a rough diamond, but no, my search continues. Unfortunately, with an unobstructed view of the arc, this helmet will glow in the initial arc, regardless of sensitivity or delay settings. Extra arc starts are normal unless you let your helmet sit for more than about 10 minutes. I contacted the seller for recommendations but received no response. I cannot recommend this helmet to anyone.
