I was delighted to find these at such a good price. I wanted the slotted head screws to look like historical ones, but most of the brass parts out there are Phillips. I see reviews saying they are not strong or hard etc. They appear to be annealed to semi-hard yellow brass, C260 or C270. They're not overly strong or tough, but definitely strong enough for cabinet mounting or trimming work (if you drill pilot holes before attempting to install them). I used them to fix a Victorian wardrobe that had bent screws. I'm sure they will have a patina to give them a great look.
